**DESCRIPTION**
**We are looking for a talented student to join our Student to Work Program in Indianapolis, IN.**
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
+ Under direct supervision in a service workshop, assist senior level Technicians with repairs and maintenance on Chassis products and Engine repair.
+ Disassemble, clean and inspect chassis and /or chassis components
+ Provide assistance with diagnosing and troubleshooting engine failures.
+ Maintains work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
+ General shop maintenance such as inspecting extension cords, replacing air lines, general maintenance, daily JSA (Job Safety Analysis) reports, welder inspections and daily time sheets.
+ Perform other duties as assigned by management.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
+ Ability to work in an automotive shop / manufacturing setting, mechanical knowledge preferred.
+ Must be able to lift 35 pounds and physically lift, stand, squat, kneel frequently, wear required personal protective equipment as required and operate forklifts preferred.
+ Basic computer software knowledge is preferred.
**Education, Licenses, Certifications** Must be currently enrolled at a College or University, pursuing a degree in an Automotive Technical Program.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
This role requires the desire to learn, be customer focused with a mechanical aptitude.
