Job Summary

Our Loan Servicing Specialist Intern will work side by side with our team and will be challenged and provided with tremendous growth opportunities, learning the primary responsibilities of loan servicing and collaborating with various teams.

 

Our interns work on projects that matter—and teams will rely on your skills and insights to help deliver those projects to market. You’ll get the opportunity to work on real projects and have fun along the way.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily loan servicing activities for customers’ loans from initial request through completion.
• Prioritize workloads, ensuring necessary documents are available, partnering with underwriting teams when credit risk analysis is required, verifying interest rates and fees, and confirming compliance with regulations.
• Review entity and trust documentation, ensure sufficient collateral is in place, initiate and resolve title work, obtain subordinations, and perfect lien positions. 
• Book servicing actions and update tracking systems, review collateral for release, and monitor ongoing conditions.

Travel Time

• Must be available to travel to Omaha, NE three times during the internship: for Orientation, Mid-Summer, and Closing events. Travel expenses will be covered. 

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or similar field of study
• Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
• Demonstrated leadership abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and verbal)
• Available for a 12-week internship during the summer
