Equipment Operator

MACNAK Construction is in need of motivated, technically and mechanically minded Equipment Operator. The Equipment Operator must be able to operate all types of heavy equipment safely, productively and efficiently. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

•    Operate any or all of core equipment, which includes bulldozers, compactors, excavators, loaders and graders, in a proficient and safe manner; 
•    Comply with the operations manual, safety manual and all other relevant reference documents; 
•    Work cooperatively with the crew to accomplish tasks; 
•    Perform manual tasks, such as working with a shovel, as required; 
•    Maintain the work area(s) in a clean and orderly manner on a continuous basis; 
•    Consistently report for work on time and in appropriate attire

Qualifications:

•    High School Diploma or GED; 
•    A minimum of 5-10 years of directly related experience in the construction field; 
•    Must be able to properly understand construction plans and be able to properly follow field instructions; 
•    Must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.); 
•    The ability to comprehend and follow specific operations and safety instructions; 
•    Interpersonal competencies that include a drive for results, the need for closure, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, being dependable and cooperation; 
•    Should have erosion and sediment control knowledge; 
•    Current and valid driver's license with clean driving record; 
•    Must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (in excess of 50 lbs.); 
•    Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling; 
•    Specific vision abilities required by the position include distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; 
•    Must be able to pass strict background check
