Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage GL reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Oversee month-end and year-end closings
• Develop and maintain financial dashboards for performance tracking
• Manage lien waivers and pay applications
• Utilize ProCore software for project financial management
• Ensure budget adherence and monitor cash flow
• Conduct bank reconciliations to maintain account accuracy
• Implement and maintain control systems for financial processes
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements
• Manage tax requirements and ensure timely filings
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
• Coordinate and assist with external audits
• Maintain CPA or CMA certification to ensure professional standards are met
• Utilize QuickBooks for efficient accounting practices
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Proven experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Strong knowledge of GL reconciliations, month-end and year-end closings
• Experience with financial dashboards and reporting
• Proficiency in ProCore software and QuickBooks
• Solid understanding of budget adherence and cash flow management
• Familiarity with lien waivers, pay applications, and control systems
• Experience with compliance and local, state, and federal reporting requirements
• Proficient in tax requirements and financial statement preparation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
