Do you enjoy working outdoors? If so, Gallo at Turner Road Vintners is seeking an experienced Grounds & Wastewater Technician. You will be responsible for maintaining wastewater drainage and ponds systems, as well as executing landscaping projects and performing routine cleaning and maintenance on gardening, grounds equipment and external facilities.
What You Will Do:
• Maintains ponds, including wastewater ponds, by unclogging and removing debris and replacing broken or worn drains.
• Maintains storm drains to ensure clear drainage to wastewater ponds or creek.
• Performs minor maintenance duties ensuring the optimized operation of the wastewater pond.
• Performs routine inspections on the waste water system and components to ensure the system is functioning properly and efficiently.
• Performs plant landscaping and grounds maintenance, for assigned facility.
• Operates gas powered tools; mowers, sprayers weed-eaters, blowers, chainsaws, and hedgers.
• Applies pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides.
• Maintains lawns, flowerbeds, trees, and weed control; maintains and install sprinkler systems, timers and repairs lines as needed.
What You Need:
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years experience landscaping, ranch maintenance, production, operations, or construction experience.
• Experience maintaining common landscaping equipment used in the regular course of landscaping maintenance.
• Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Internal/external customer service experience.
• Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
• Must possess valid state issued driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
What Will Set You Apart:
• High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of experience in landscaping, ranch maintenance, production, operations, or construction experience, reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
• Experience working in a team-oriented atmosphere.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical processes.
Compensation:
• Set rate listed as $21.93 - $29.62/hour.
• Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
