We are looking for an experienced
System Engineer to work on cloud-based systems with a mission operations team. The team is involved in operating and sustaining multiple operational cloud-deployed geospatial solutions. A successful candidate will have experience with installation, configuration, administration, support, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and administration of Citrix-based desktops in cloud-based environments.
Responsibilities: The Systems Engineer will take a leadership role in system changes and improvements; working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and respond to complex user INCs (Incident Reports); proactively recommending configuration changes to help improve system performance; Deploy security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments; update critical databases with new data; author and update operational and security documentation, including troubleshooting guides and SOPs.
Required Qualifications :
- CLEARANCE: Top Secret with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
- Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 6 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
- DOD 8570 Certification (Security+ or equivalent or higher)
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
- Windows administration experience
- Experience completing security remediation tasks based on security scans
- Citrix administration experience
- Knowledge of Systems, Architectural, SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
- Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a service-oriented environment (Cloud, SOA, Web-Services) or virtualization environment.
- Experience with AWS architectures and technologies
- Familiar with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.)
- Familiar with Git/GitLab or other source code control tools
- Familiar with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.)
- Familiar with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence)
- Additional tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications: - SAFe Agile Certification
- Experience providing systems engineering support for geospatial products
- Citrix certification(s)
- AWS certification (e.g. Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer)
