Job Description

Salary: 126,100 - 227,950 USD per year Requirements:

  • I require a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of twelve (12) years of prior relevant software engineering/development experience. Additional experience may substitute for a degree.
  • I expect demonstrated development experience with Java and specific experience with one or more of the following: Java/JEE, Python, C/C++, SQL, SOAP, WSDL, WADL.
  • Experience in User Interface development, knowledge of databases and structures, and/or experience working with XHTML, HTML, XML, XSLT is essential.
  • You should have experience developing on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following: Java, Python, PERL, PowerShell, VBS, Eclipse, Postgres, Oracle, Jenkins on Windows platforms is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of sound software development principles and practices is required.
  • I need someone who can plan and prioritize personal tasks and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • You must be an independent thinker capable of performing high-quality work, both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
  • You will perform software development activities as a member of an agile development team. This includes the full range of turning agile stories into implementable concepts, development, testing, and deployment of new capabilities in a complex system.
  • Following the Behavioral Driven Development (BDD) pattern, you will implement robust testing leveraging DEVOPS automation and, where appropriate, utilize test automation commercial tools.
  • There will be opportunities for server-side business logic implementation as well as client web application and user interface (UI) development.
  • You will analyze and resolve highly complex software issues related to multiple aspects and components of the system, collaborating with other experts within the program and in the user community to design, develop, and debug existing software.
  • You will provide technical leadership for software development activities, actively participate in program increment planning and related team activities, and perform high-level software development functions including design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs.
  • Analyzing system requirements and developing and maintaining software infrastructures using Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools will also be part of your responsibilities.

- The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary, with a range of $126,100.00 - $227,950.00.
