What You'll Do
As a Senior Operations Financial Analyst, you'll play a key role in managing cost accounting and supporting our business with insightful analysis and cost control. Your responsibilities will include:
Cost Center Variance Analysis: Review and analyze budget vs. actual costs for Operations Departments, and host meetings with business leaders to discuss findings.
Monthly Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly analyses, accruals, and reconciliations of commissions, royalties, and warranty expenses.
Warehousing and Manufacturing Analysis: Provide detailed analysis for Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) related to warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing.
Logistics and Inventory Analytics: Develop and improve processes to drive EBITDA enhancement.
Labor Variance Analysis: Review and close labor variance analysis for completed production jobs, helping manage Work In Progress (WIP) accounts.
Annual Cost Roll and Budgeting: Support the Operations Finance Manager with the annual standard cost roll and budget process, collaborating with Operations Leadership.
CAPEX Approval Process: Assist in managing the CAPEX approval process by working with business leaders and reviewing CAPEX requests.
Cost Reduction Tracking: Help track cost reduction activities and value improvement initiatives.
Ad Hoc Reporting: Produce ad hoc reports as needed.
What We're Looking For
Experience: 4+ years in finance and cost accounting.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of finance, accounting, inventory, and operations.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). Experience with Oracle, Hyperion, Epicor, and Power BI is a plus.
Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Interaction: Ability to interact effectively with various levels of the organization, including remote staff.
Education
Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
