As a per diem Speech Language Pathologist in Acute Therapy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca, you will have comprehensive knowledge of assessment and intervention techniques in a medical physical disabilities setting. **What will you be doing?** + Perform evaluations + Demonstrate appropriate treatment interventions and strategies + Complete discharge planning for patients + Knowledge and experience with bedside swallow evaluations and cognitive/communication evaluations + The Therapist-Per Diem is considered employed on an at-will basis with no guarantee of scheduled hours. Scheduling is done based on staffing need and availability. The Therapist-Per Diem staff member is expected to be available a minimum of 16 hours per month. **Qualifications** **Education Requirements:** + Graduate of an accredited SLP program **License/Certification Requirements:** + Valid and current license as a SLP in the state of California + Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross **What will set you apart? (Preferred Skills/Qualifications):** + Minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing therapist; preferably in an acute care setting.
