SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
The Position
We are searching for a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will report to the our Fiscal Consultant at Westmoreland County and is expected to cover a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to: processing financial transactions, processing and reviewing A/P and A/R, developing written processes and policies, preparing and presenting financial statements, variance and other financial analyses, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Responsibilities
Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports. Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. May guide or review the work of support staff. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent work experience. Other Duties as Assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or Related Field and 3-7 years of experience.
Advanced Excel knowledge
Willingness to learn new systems and evolve with the changing landscape of the industry. Accufund knowledge a plus.
Comfortability and Experience presenting and discussing financial matters with clients to communicate financial statements and prepared materials
Previous experience in delegating tasks and supporting and auditing staff account work
Preferred Skills
Able to maintain and manage processes and procedures
Strong communications skills
This position reports to Westmoreland County Department of Human Services in Westmoreland County. While this position is employed by Donnelly-Boland and Associates the individual will perform day-to-day duties under the direction of Westmoreland County. The selected candidate will work closely with staff from Westmoreland County and follow their operational procedures, priorities, and work schedule.
