SCHOOL RECEPTIONIST

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors, parents, and students in a friendly manner; answer and redirect phone calls; manage mail, faxes, and shipments; send and respond to emails.
• Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages and schedules appointments.
• Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
• Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Maintaining safety and hygiene standards of the reception area
• Must maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality.
• Maintain register for signing in/out students arriving late or departing early.
• Maintaining lost property items/log

Skills:

• Good telephone communication etiquette
• Active listener
• Fast and eager learner

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 2 years' experience as a receptionist
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluent in English (speech, written and reading).
• Fluent in another language(s) is desirable.
• Must be Microsoft office proficient.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• High levels of personal integrity.
• Good cross-cultural, interpersonal and communication skills to interact with diverse nationalities and cultures.
