An SAP S/4HANA FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP S/4HANA’s finance modules in accordance with US-based accounting standards and business requirements.
General Ledger (New GL)
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Asset Accounting (AA)
Bank Accounting
Cost Center, Profit Center Accounting
Internal Orders, Product Costing, etc.
Localization for the US:
US-specific tax configuration (Sales & Use Tax – sometimes integrated with Vertex/Avalara)
US GAAP compliance
1099 reporting
Data Migration using tools like LTMC or LSMW
Integration with other SAP modules (SD, MM, PP)
Testing, Training, and Post-Go-Live Support
Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Finance (not just ECC)
Familiarity with Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
Hands-on with Fiori apps for Finance
Knowledge of US accounting standards
Experience in implementation , roll-out , or support projects
Strong communication skills for working with US-based stakeholders
