Lashing Out On Main (L.O.O.M.) in Belmont, NC, is looking for a part-time (10-15hrs) Salon Front Desk Assistant to join our 11-person strong team. We are located at 6438 Wilkinson Blvd. Our ideal candidate is responsible, reliable, punctual, and hard-working.

This job is for someone excited to act as the first point of contact for customers who visit our salon or contact us to learn about our beauty services. To succeed in this role, you should be highly organized, able to manage clients gracefully, even during peak demand, and reliable enough to work alone without supervision .

Ultimately, you will help boost our reputation by building friendly, trusting customer relationships.

Responsibilities include , but are not limited to:

• Warmly greet clients, offer refreshments, and inform assigned beauticians of their arrival
• Offer refreshments and chat with clients who are in the waiting area
• Have clients fill out the proper forms
• Book and confirm appointments via phone, text, and email
• Process transactions (cash and credit cards) and issue receipts
• Welcome walk-ins, answer questions about services, give directions, and schedule appointments based on availability.
• Inform clients about new services and discounts
• Interact on our social media platforms during "downtime."
• Cross-sell services and products when appropriate (e.g., through informative brochures and gift cards)
• Update client records with contact and billing details, appointments, and services.
• Manage calls/texts.
• Maintain a tidy salon: light cleaning duties (i.e., sweeping, folding & putting away towels, cleaning glass, wiping surfaces, etc.)

Requirements and skills

• Experience as a Salon Receptionist or similar role
• Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
• Familiarity with processing transactions

- We are willing to train the right candidate with less or no experience!

• Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone, and email) with a customer service attitude
• Solid organization and record-keeping skills
• An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
• Availability on Saturdays (at least every other Saturday)
• High School diploma or equivalent
