Retirement Home Director of Nursing (DON)

Skills & Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with active/current standing in Massachusetts
• Minimum 3 years long-term care experience
• 2+ years in a supervisory role which can include previous DON, Charge Nurse, or Unit Manager experience
• Experience with geriatric care and multi-shift nursing leadership with a belief in providing the highest quality of living and health care services to senior residents
• Must be comfortable commuting to Wrentham, MA Monday-Friday

Information:

• Setting: 41-bed retirement home
• Pay Rate: up to $130,000 per year
• Full-time, Monday–Friday schedule 9am-5pm

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all nursing staff
• Oversee resident care, including assessments, admissions appropriateness, documentation, and incident management
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support facility operations, including governance, policy updates, and staff hiring processes
• Serve as a point of contact for families, tours, and admissions-related discussions once fully onboarded
