Position Summary

This position contributes to the design and delivery of research projects and collaborates with researchers to develop, execute and interpret projects specifically related to geriatric research aims. Performs complex data collection and study methods.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and collaborate on study instrumentation best used in collecting, processing and analyzing data, summarizing the results of the research and test results specifically related to geriatric research project aims.
  • Oversee data collection and management of REDCap projects. Check and back-up all study related data according to research protocols.
  • Provide training to current and new team members on various topics including research design and utilization of data management techniques to ensure data integrity across various studies.
  • Develop and write manuscripts to peer reviewed journals and present at various national conferences as directed by the Principal Investigator.
  • Assist with study protocol design and development and continually review and update procedures, as needed throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Replicate, refine and add new research approaches based on project needs. Test, customize and implement new methods and procedures to meet the aims of the study.
  • Contribute to the findings of the research team, prepare results from specific data analysis and assist in writing the summaries to publications, papers, presentations, grants, and other documents for dissemination.
  • Assist principal investigator in grant and manuscript submission and assist in seeking new funding opportunities to provide consistency and growth to the research portfolio.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required
  • A minimum of 3 years related research experience.
  • Possesses and applies advanced knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods
  • Attention to detail, organization, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in statistical software programs (e.g., Stata, SAS, R) to manage and analyze data.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a multi-disciplinary team, written and verbal.
  • Management of REDCap and InfoReady platforms are a plus.
  • Mixed methods research experience (surveys, interviews, focus groups).



Preferred Qualifications



  • Master's or PhD in public health or other related fields.
