Podiatry Clinic Medical Assistant Location Scottsdale, AZ :

Seeking a motivated and skillful medical assistant to assist with the day to day operations in a Scottsdale podiatry clinic (with two providers).

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support the providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

This job is currently Monday-Thursday.

Hours: 7:45am-4:45pm. Lunch 12:15-1:15pm

Responsibilities

• Rooming patients in exam rooms and taking vital signs.
• Managing the referrals made to vendors such as labs, radiology, and DME groups (and following up with those vendors).
• Schedule and coordinate surgeries, when necessary (this also may require the occasional prior authorization).
• Maintain and order office supplies.
• Assisting with in-office procedures, when needed.
• Reaching out to patients and providers for the purposes of continuing care.
• Returning calls to patients/answering questions for patients/completing referrals.
• Perform other administrative duties, i.e. data entry, filing, faxing, chart preparation, reception, etc., when needed.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.

Qualifications

· Knowledge of front and back office protocols in a medical setting (required).

· Knowledge of surgery scheduling (preferred).

· Ability to learn podiatric knowledge (previous experience is preferred, but not required).

· Able to give instruction in a clear and concise manner to patients.

· Excellent organizational skills.

· Detailed oriented is a must.

· Multitasking and time-management skills is a must.

Pay: From $20.00-$27.00 per hour DOE

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)
• Certified Medical Assistant Certificate (Preferred)
• Will also consider work related experience

Experience:

• Medical Assisting: 1 year (Required)
• Preferred experience in a podiatry office.
