Join a respected healthcare team where your skills and attention to detail make a real difference. We are currently seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacy operations and assist in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
This role involves collaboration with pharmacists, technicians, physicians, nurses, patients, and vendors in a fast-paced hospital or pharmacy setting.
Assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications safely and accurately
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products (1,000–2,000 medications)
Interact with hospital staff, patients, and external partners in a professional and courteous manner
Follow pharmacy protocols and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
Operate general office and pharmacy equipment, including computers and labeling systems
Maintain inventory, manage stock levels, and support daily pharmacy operations
Ensure proper documentation and complete service line competencies within 6 months of hire
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an approved Pharmacy Technician training program preferred
Pharmacy Service Line competencies must be completed within 6 months of hire
Experience:
Previous pharmacy experience preferred
Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience required for Registrar I
Licensure/Certification:
Must be registered with the Virginia Board of Health Professionals
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required within 9 months of hire

Basic math, computer, and problem-solving skills
Completion of orientation and training competencies is required for all technicians
