We currently have a role available for a Pharmaceutical Purification Chemist.

Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Purify small molecule organic samples using reversed-phase chromatography on milligram to multi-gram scale.
    • Thorough knowledge of preparative/semi-preparative chromatography and instrumentation required.
  • Utilize LC-MS systems to identify collection fractions.
  • Select an appropriate purification technique for unique mixtures.
  • Communicate with synthetic chemists regarding purification requirements and issues.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and productive lab.
Job Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • BS - Chemistry or related field with 3-5 years of industry experience OR MS-Chemistry with 1-3 years of industry experience (preferably pharma).
    • Preparative reverse phase (RP) LC experience required.
  • Familiarity with Agilent HPLCs and ChemStation software would be helpful.
  • Experience using Teledyne ISCO chromatography systems preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Works well both as a team and as an individual.
  • Demonstration of excellent team player skills, very strong attention to detail, very strong problem-solving skills, a high level of learning agility, and the ability to work across functions. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with the leadership and communication skills necessary to operate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with flexibility and an adaptable approach to goal delivery.
