We are looking for an enthusiastic Speech Language Pathologist FT to help us reach our goals. Unlock your potential! **Job Summary and Qualifications** **The Pediatric Therapy Speech Therapist** provides high-quality, patient-centered care by developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments. As a member of the health care team, the Speech Therapist performs comprehensive patient assessments and establishes appropriate treatment goals. The Speech Therapist serves as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues. **What you will do in this role:** + You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient's speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient's communication assets and liabilities. + You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities. + You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress. + You will document progress in patient's chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication. + You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients. **What qualifications you will need:** + Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 7 days of employment start date + (SLP) Speech-Language Pathologist + Masters Degree Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center ( (EIRMC) is a full-service hospital with 318+ patient beds. Our hospital is the largest medical facility in the region. We serve southeast Idaho, western Wyoming, Yellowstone National Park, and parts of Montana. Our facility has an ER, a Level II Trauma Center, a Level 1 ICU (one of two in Idaho), and the only Burn Center in the state of Idaho. We have the region's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for critically ill children. Our 74-bed Behavioral Health Center offers inpatient and outpatient mental health care for adolescents and adults.
