Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 253 beds, the not-for-profit hospital delivers 6,000 babies a year, and is also a medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services for patients throughout Hawai'i and the Pacific Region include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency pediatric and adult care, critical care air transport and high-risk perinatal care. Over 1,400 employees and more than 700 physicians provide specialty care at Kapi'olani. The hospital is home to the Kapi'olani Women's Center and the Women's Cancer Center, and offers numerous community programs and services, such as specialty pediatric clinics, the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and the Sex Abuse Treatment Center. Our team of speech language pathologists works to help infants, children, adolescents and adults reach their full potential in mobility, communication and daily living skills. They work with people who have difficulty producing speech sounds, such as rhythm and fluency problems, stuttering, voice disorders, cognitive communication impairments, or simply those who wish to improve their communication skills. The department's integrated program involves highly trained specialists that may include audiologists, speech-language therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists. As the Patient Service Representative, you will help to ensure that our patients and their families receive warm, friendly and considerate assistance at our hospitals and clinics by acting as a liaison between patients of all ages and the professional staff of our hospitals and clinics, generally by performing a combination of clerical, reception and business duties. One (1) year clerical support experience in a position with public contact or related experience. **Preferred Qualifications:** Associate's degree in Health Administration or related field. Medical terminology course. One (1) year experience in a physician's office or outpatient clinic setting.
