Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Part-Time Special Education Administrative Assistant to support our Special Education department. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of special education programs and services by providing essential administrative support. Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support: Assist in daily administrative tasks, including scheduling, organizing meetings, and maintaining accurate records to support special education services.
Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), progress reports, and other required documents while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Communication Liaison: Facilitate clear and timely communication between teachers, parents/guardians, and relevant stakeholders regarding student progress, accommodations, and specialized services.
Data Management: Maintain confidential student records, track progress, and input necessary data into school systems or databases to support informed decision-making.
Qualifications
Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational or special education setting.
Familiarity with special education processes, including IEPs, and knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (e.g., IDEA).
Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, teachers, and staff.
Proficiency in office software, databases, and educational platforms (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, etc.).
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks efficiently, and maintain confidentiality.
Work Schedule
Part-time position: Approximately 15-20 hours per week
Flexible schedule options available (in-person, hybrid, or fully remote based on department needs)
