Job Description

Paraprofessional – Alliance for Progress Charter School (Pennsylvania)

Spur, a digital staffing agency , seeks  dedicated and punctual Paraprofessionals to support students and teachers at Alliance for Progress Charter School .

Position Overview

The Paraprofessional will assist in classroom instruction, student supervision, and individualized support for students with learning and emotional needs. The ideal candidate should be able to review IEPs, progress reports, and behavior plans to implement best practices and support students effectively. Additionally, this role requires monitoring and collecting student progress data based on IEP goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of instructional materials and classroom setup.
  • Support teachers in planning and delivering group and individual activities .
  • Supervise students during both instructional and non-instructional activities .
  • Provide one-on-one and group instructional support to reinforce learning.
  • Offer enrichment and remedial assistance as needed.
  • Assist with student testing and evaluations to assess progress.
  • Encourage positive interactions and engagement in the learning process.
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and organized classroom environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check ($25.00)
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
  • Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting
  • Prior experience working with children preferred.
  • Friendly, professional, and punctual demeanor.
  • Ability to lift up to 65 lbs .

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $15.00+/hour (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (when school is in session; hours may vary by location)
