Operations Manager Specific Skills:· Develop and implement comprehensive transportation plans to meet employee needs
· Coordinate daily transportation operations, including route planning and scheduling
· Recruit, train, and supervise transportation staff, including drivers and dispatchers
· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety standards
· Oversee maintenance and repair of the vehicle fleet, ensuring vehicles are in safe working condition
· Develop and manage the transportation budget, monitoring and controlling costs
· Address and resolve employee transportation concerns and complaints promptly
· Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and prepare regular performance reports
· Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
· Handle customer interface when applicable
· Detail and process orientation
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Project management experience a plus
· Strong emotional intelligence and customer service experience
· Transportation industry experience
· Strong computer skills / technological aptitude
· High level of initiative, strong work ethic

Operations Manager Responsibilities:
· Management of general yard operations
· Responsible for recruitment, management and retention of driver and dispatch teams
· Work closely with MRTW and customer management teams to ensure 100% compliance with customer requirements
· Participate in customer QBR’s
· Implement customer and driver retention programs
· Work closely with MRTW and customer management teams to ensure 100% compliance with customer SLA requirements
· Work attentively to ensure 100% compliance with DOT and NTA requirements
· Assist with driver and safety bonus programs
· Assist with driver onboarding, scheduling and staffing
· Other duties as required
Required Experience:
· Previous Management experience 5yrs+ - preferable in the transportation industry
· Familiar with DOT regulations
· FMSCA regulations and safety practices
· Exceptional communication, organization and listening skills
· Ability to multitask
· Fast learner and self starter
· Computer proficient
· Strong organizational ability
· Ability to remain professional under pressure
