We are excited to invite skilled and passionate Naval Architects & Marine Engineers to join the Marine Technology Business Unit at Asso, which leads the development of our new shipbuilding project. The candidates will be required to have a strong understanding of engineering principles, enjoy working with creativity, and have excellent attention to detail. They will be required to undertake various works, from concept design to execution, supervision and completion.
Responsibilities
Participates in the design & development of new building projects
Outline work specification
Carries out detailed design plans, drawings and specifications
Technical Specification review, plan review & approval
Conducts feasibility studies (conceptual/structural/stability)
Outsources tasks, when/where required;
Determine budget of work
Communicates with service providers and suppliers
Cooperates with the Supplies Team for the procurement of required services, equipment, materials and feedback on quality
Performs on-site investigation and examination during work planning stage;
Degree in Naval Architecture and/or Marine Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering (BEng or equivalent)
MEng or MSc in Engineering would be beneficial
Previous work experience in a similar role, with field experience would be beneficial
Previous work experience in new building site supervision would be beneficial
Knowledge in use of design software (AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor, etc.)
Clear and effective oral and written communication skills in English language
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office required
Ability to travel
