The Nature Explorers Educator is Responsible for implementing Nature Explorers, a weekly series of 60 minute outdoor program for registered families consisting of one adult for every child. This constructivist exploration of surrounding seasonal landscapes for very young children (ages 2-3) and their grown-ups will include songs, stories, and a very simple, seasonally appropriate make and take experiment or craft that allows children to continue their investigation back at home/in their neighborhood. Work under the supervision of the Program Manager of the Everett Children’s Adventure Garden.
Additionally, this position supports, through actions and conduct, NYBG’s Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility initiatives and helps to build and maintain an inclusive organization culture throughout the institution.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
Work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions
Baseline Work Schedule:
Sundays 9:15-11:45am, 6 weeks each season depending on class registrations.
Pay Rate:$28/hr
