Mobile Rotating‑Cab Crane Operator

Location: Talladega, Alabama

Pay: $26.01 per hour

Contract: Full-year contract

Relocation Support: Company housing and transportation available if you relocate; relocation assistance provided.

A day in this role

You arrive on site, walk the work area with the crew, and confirm the lift plan. You perform thorough pre-operation checks in line with DOT and OSHA requirements, then set the crane using blocks, mats, and outriggers for proper stabilization. Each lift is rigged correctly and verified; you communicate via hand signals and radio, move the load with precision, and place it exactly where the project requires. Throughout the shift, you document inspections and basic maintenance, keep the cab and work zone orderly, and coordinate with supervisors for the next tasks.

What you will handle

• Operate a mobile rotating-cab crane to safely lift, move, and position loads.
• Perform daily equipment inspections in compliance with DOT and OSHA standards.
• Set up the crane at job sites using blocks, mats, and outriggers to ensure stability.
• Rig, attach, and secure loads so every lift meets safety requirements.
• Execute lifts according to lift and rigging plans, hand signals, and verbal guidance.
• Maintain accurate inspection and basic maintenance records.
• Uphold clean, orderly, and safe crane operations and work areas.
• Communicate clearly with the crew to ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

What you bring

• Experience required.
• Certification: Not required; considered a plus.
• Licensing: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean motor vehicle record.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required (Associate’s in mechanical/electrical field preferred).
• Skills: As applicable to the responsibilities above.
