Materials Manager | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize inventory levels for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Develop and implement strategic material planning and procurement processes.
• Oversee warehouse operations, logistics, and material flow efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, sales, and purchasing to ensure material availability and demand alignment.
• Utilize and maintain ERP/MRP systems for accurate material planning and forecasting.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the materials management team.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives related to materials, logistics, and inventory.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in materials management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory planning, procurement, and production scheduling.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, JIT, Kanban, and inventory optimization techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and develop strategic sourcing plans.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
• Experience with advanced demand planning or predictive analytics software
• Proven track record in ERP system implementation or significant optimization projects
