Job Description

The Massage Therapist performs all massage and body treatments in a safe and professional manner to the guest / member. They also keep themselves updated with the latest trends and servicing protocols, all in an effort to provide uncompromising attention to the guest / member. They do so according to procedures and guidelines specified for these. Our colleagues maintain a healthy, fit appearance, positive attitude and provide the guest with a complete and excellent experience. You will maintain professional licenses or certifications in accordance with state board requirements. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITES Include but are not limited to the following:

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Adhere to the Spa Policy & Standard Operating Procedures manual.
• Act as an Ambassador for the spa representing the brand values for colleagues establishing relationships with internal and external stakeholders representing the values of the brand and Accor. This includes maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
• Knowledgeable about all aspects of treatments, spa therapy and the facility.
• Perform massage and body treatments in a safe, professional and hygienic manner.
• Maintain ample inventory of necessary products to perform treatments, all in an orderly and neat fashion.
• Report for appointments on time and thoroughly review appointments after completing each service.
• Always maintain a courteous, friendly and professional demeanor with guests / members.
• Assist in the operations of the reception, thermal areas and whenever possible for spa guests and colleagues.
• Maintain current professional license.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Gross Hourly Wage: $20.13 USD plus commissions

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Proper and current certification or licenses as mandated by the state of California.
• Prior practical experience in a professional environment. Spa/ hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and high level of guest service orientation.
• Ability to work with a diverse population of guests and team members.
• A friendly, personable disposition and positive attitude.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Graduate from an accredited school of massage therapy (regional specific).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a massage or body therapists.
• Previous experience in 5-star hotel or day spa is recommended.
• CPR – Basic Rescuer.
• Luxury Spa Experience in a Forbes Five Star Spa

LANGUAGE SKILLS

• Fluent spoken and written English
• Multi-lingual skills are beneficial

REASONING ABILITY

• Must be able to communicate clearly and listen attentively to management, fellow employees and guests
