If your pride and joy is in maintaining conveyor and sortation systems, performing preventative maintenance, and keeping operations running safely, this is your opportunity to make a real impact. **Job Title:** **Maintenance Technician** **Pay:** **$30/hour** **Schedule:** 3rd Shift: + 1 opening for Front Half: Sun-Wed - 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM + 1 opening for Back Half: Wed-Sat - 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM **Locations:** + **Moreno Valley** , CA (Near Harley Knox Blvd & Perris Blvd) - Front Half + **Perris, CA** (Near Indian Ave & Morgan St) - Back Half **Type:** Contract-To-Hire (With intent to bring to permanent employment if a good fit) **Start Date:** As soon as cleared **About the Role** As a Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep distribution center equipment in peak condition. Your main responsibility is to keep the conveyor and sortation systems going. Your work will include **preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), greasing, and hands-on projects involving conveyors, tilt tray sortation systems, GOH (Garment on Hanger) systems, forklifts, and facility infrastructure** . You'll play a critical role in minimizing downtime, supporting high-volume operations, and maintaining a safe, efficient workplace. **What You'll Do:** · Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on **conveyors, tilt trays** , **GOH systems** , forklifts, and other **MHE (Material Handling Equipment** ). · Troubleshoot and repair **system breakdowns** , both scheduled and emergency. · Assist in **conveyor system installs, modifications, and process improvements** . · Conduct facility equipment repairs (lighting, plumbing, painting, etc.). · Identify, request, and track spare parts. · Maintain accurate records (work orders, timesheets, and parts requests). · Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and boom lifts (certification required). · Follow all safety procedures, including **LOTO** , at all times. **Requirements:** + Citizenship: Must be a US Person + Drug Screen: 5 panel + Background Check: 7 years + **1-2 years of progressive mechanical experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment working with Dematic conveyor and sortation systems.** + Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot basic system failures. + Experience using manual and **powered hand tools** , **welding** , and **cutting torches** . + Knowledge of facility repairs ( **painting, minor plumbing, lighting** ). + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on concrete floors in a warehouse environment. + Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and varying shifts. + Strong organization, accountability, and teamwork skills. **Preferred:** + Experience with maintenance planning or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). + Prior work in large-scale distribution or logistics operations. **Physical Requirements** + Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, bend, and stoop for extended periods. + Frequent use of hands for handling tools and materials. + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. + Visual ability to read information in print and electronically. + Reliable attendance and timeliness are essential. + Full-time onsite role requiring in-person collaboration, maintenance response, and team interaction. **Why Join Us** + **Be indispensable:** Your skills keep vital distribution systems operating smoothly. + **Engaging work:** Hands-on, technical challenges in a fast-paced logistics environment. + **Competitive compensation:** $30/hour with overtime opportunities. + **Growth environment:** Join a team that values craftsmanship, safety, and professional development. **Apply Today** If you're ready to put your technical skills to work in a role that keeps essential operations moving, we want to hear from you. **Take the next step in your maintenance career-apply now to join PDS Tech Commercial in Moreno Valley!** This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
