This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

If you are self-motivated and are interested in working in a production environment, the Outgoing Mail unit wants you to be their next Mailing Machines Operator I. Under the direction of a Mailing Machines Supervisor I, the Mailing Machines Operator I, will be responsible for setting up and operating postage meter machines, inserters, scales, and joggers and make minor machine adjustments. Verify that all mailing materials are processed accurately and then gathers and loads mailing materials into mail trays; lift mail trays weighing up to 50 lbs. into mail cages; push and pull mail cages weighing over 150 lbs. and transporting mail cages to and from receiving dock. This candidate will also maintain accurate, legible daily production records, and complete forms for Postal Service billings. Only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed. Hours are from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
