Job Description

Chicago-based Horizon Realty Group is a family-owned and operated property management company that buys, remodels and rents updated, high-value apartments in a variety of iconic buildings. Currently, with 28 buildings in Chicago, Horizon also owns one independent senior living community in Evanston, IL.

Horizon has a strong history of reviving vintage and historic buildings – paying homage to the past while adding amenities that serve its residents well into the future. Horizon has invested millions of dollars in recent projects over the past 3 years and continues to expand our portfolio within the Chicagoland area.

Our Lease Processors are integral team members, serving as the initial point of contact between potential tenants and management. The Lease Processor is responsible for overseeing and tracking the leases of rental properties at Horizon’s portfolio with the highest level of customer service. Lease Processors report directly to our Lease Processor Administrator Manager and review and execute all leasing paperwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Processing and data entry of all incoming applications.
  • Execute leases, amendments, and lease renewals.
  • Organize and maintain files throughout the life of a tenancy.
  • Prepare the lease renewal spreadsheet and enforce the renewal deadline schedule and all applicable renewal notices.
  • Initialize all lease signings and perform the move-in/data entry functions in Yardi.
  • Perform portfolio-wide audits to ensure ledgers are correct and accurate and understand all Fair Housing policies in addition to Chicago’s ordinances (RLTO).
  • Assist the Lease Processor Administrator in gathering market data as well as any corresponding marketing reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Some college preferred.
  • Must be highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding procedures and deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize tasks in order of importance.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred experience with Yardi, Rent Café, DocuSign, and any data entry programs.
