Job Description

Objective of job:

• This position will be responsible for assisting in new program launch activities.
• Optimizing productivity and efficiency of existing programs. 

Principal activities:

• Create training concepts for the production plants to involve work flow improvement
• Cooperate in optimizing existing processes and in developing new processes
• Assist new programs from layout finalization
• Prepare time studies for all parts
• Optimize process flow to give production best efficiency possible
• Line balance production line to eliminate process bottle necks
• Provide Production Management headcount data per production area
• Determine best production layout with minimum floor space
• Review engineering changes with Process Eng. for affect to production line
• Assist in maintaining accurate part routings and bill of materials
• Verify labor and machine capacities
• Ensure time studies are up to date
• Assist with new plant layouts and update existing plant layout drawings
• Ergonomic review and improvements
• Provides team direction on all production and warehousing lean related issues
• Lead and implement process improvement projects
• Assist in cost down activities
• Assist in product make or buy decisions
• Provide guidance and mentor Engineering Interns.
• Other duties as assigned by management to ensure optimal plant performance
