Position Summary:

Responsible for the maintenance, repair, and proper operation of the hospital, refrigeration, air conditioning, evaporative cooling, mechanical ventilation, and ice-making equipment, including control work and computer design of the air conditioning system.

Minimum Requirements:

Education:  

• High School Diploma

Experience:

• Five years of in-depth experience with BMS controls.

License/Registration/Certifications:

• South Carolina Journeyman heating and A/C certification or equivalent.
• Certificate of training in air conditioning.

Preferred Requirements:

Preferred Education:

• Associate's degree in HVAC

• Must be able to cope with agitated, hostile customers and respond calmly.
• Performs analytical diagnosis on malfunctioning equipment.
• Performs mechanical repair in a workmanlike manner using correct tools and procedures
• Performs planned maintenance on all mechanical equipment
