Job Description

Responsibilities

Cumberland Hospital for Children and Adolescents , located in New Kent, Virginia , provides comprehensive medical, behavioral, rehabilitative, and educational services for children and adolescents ages 2 through 22 who are challenged by co-occurring medical and behavioral diagnoses. Cumberland Hospital is one of the few specialty children’s hospitals providing dual treatment protocols for both medical and mental health issues. Cumberland includes a 62 bed Hospital Program, a 16 bed Inpatient Acute Program, and 30 bed Residential Treatment Program. Our goal is to stabilize medical problems and help children develop positive behavioral coping strategies using an interdisciplinary approach.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant . The Human Resources Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR team and will be responsible for various administrative tasks, maintaining employee records, and helping with recruitment and onboarding processes.

This is an Entry-Level Position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Assisting with processing of paperwork to include ICIMS, performance evaluations, transfers, new hires, terminations, and other correspondence as necessary.
  • Assists in the preparation of various personnel reports; ensures their accuracy and completeness.
  • Processes data entry/recordkeeping appropriately with HRIS system for all employee transactions in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Orders necessary departmental office supplies using the required system and/or requisition process.
  • Assist with coordinating the facility New Employee Orientation Program
  • Responsible for creation of employee badges as needed.
  • Verifies employment on all employees by referring to the personnel records and/or other available means.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • Bilingual Preferred (Spanish and English) 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Prior clerical experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years clerical experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Programs required
