Job Description

Holiday Inn Boston Cambridge Area is seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeping Manager to oversee all housekeeping operations at our Somerville, MA location. The ideal candidate will lead a team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed according to hotel standards.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate team members to provide excellent guest service.
  • Manage daily schedules, payroll, and work assignments for housekeeping staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address guest requests and resolve issues promptly.
  • Maintain inventory and order cleaning supplies and linens as needed.
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and sanitation policies.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years housekeeping management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree in related field preferred.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related education is a plus.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and payroll management preferred.
