Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. The Medical Records Clerk collects, maintains and makes available to authorized users timely, accurate and complete patient health information.

• Prioritize, locate, pull, assemble, track and see to the appropriate transport of records requested by other departments in accordance with established standards.

• Keep the requester of any record that was not in the file notified of efforts to locate.

• Accurately files all charts belonging to assigned aisles to appropriate location daily.

• Accurately files all loose papers for assigned aisles within three business days of receipt.

• Maintains clean aisles.

• Performs other work as needed/assigned

• Customer Service is a primary goal!  Provide the best customer service experience.  Identify staff providing exceptional customer service.  “Word of Mouth”. Take care of one another  - -  “Smile”

Qualifications:

• Highschool Graduate/GED Required
• Associates Degree-Preferred
• 0-1 years of related experience preferred
• Ability to be attentive to detail.
• Ability to implement and use good organizational skills.
• Ability to concentrate in a busy environment for long periods of time.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of DSM and ICD codes.
• Knowledge of procedures related to the organization and processing of medical records.
