Job Description

Summary – Fabricator / Welder: We are seeking an experienced  Fabricator / Welder that would be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal by applying appropriate welding techniques to support the production of high quality, small batch products with a well-respected long-standing precision manufacturer in Kansas City.

Responsibility Summary – Fabricator / Welder:

• Use manual and CNC controlled saws, lathes, drill press, and grinder to fabricate metal to specifications
• Arc, TIG, and MIG welding
• Read and interpret blueprints and other shop documentation
• Leads or supports prototype fabrication and process development for new or custom products
• Follow safety and quality standards.

Qualification Summary – Fabricator / Welder:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of related welding and fabrication experience 
• Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
• Advanced knowledge of welding techniques and metalworking practices, including proficiency with multiple welding processes
• Familiarity with ERP systems, lean manufacturing, 5S and continues improvement principles
• Must have good math skills
• Able to safely lift up to 50lbs
