MIG Welder – Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team in fabricating steel bar wire frames for concrete construction sites . This role requires expertise in wire sizes, wire feed speeds, and heat settings to ensure high-quality welds that form the foundation of strong infrastructure.

A successful candidate must have a steady hand, strong attention to detail, and experience working in a fast-paced production environment . The welder will be responsible for reading work orders, setting up welding components, and ensuring all welds meet quality standards while following strict safety protocols .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret production work orders and technical drawings.
  • Measure and plan layout using tape measures and other precision tools.
  • Set up components for welding according to job specifications.
  • Align components using clamps and measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform MIG welding on steel bars to create wire frames.
  • Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify and correct any flaws.
  • Lift and stack heavy components and completed parts as needed.
  • Maintain welding equipment to ensure proper function and safety compliance.


Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Proven MIG welding experience in a production-focused manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to set up and adjust welding equipment based on material specifications.
  • Experience using manual and electrical tools (saws, squares, calipers, etc.).
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to measure accurately within 1/16” tolerance.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and commitment to using protective gear (face shield, gloves, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and precision welding skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in conversational English (preferred).
  • Completion of a welding apprenticeship program is a plus.
