Description:

The Digital Modernization Sector of Leidos currently has an opening for a DISANet Systems Monitoring Center (DSMC) Mid-Shift Lead located at Ft. Meade, MD.

**Mid Shift Lead schedule: Sunday- Thursday, 11:00pm-7:00am**

Program Summary:
The Defense Enclave Services (DES) program supports a highly demanding mission and requires expert technical and professional management support to DISA enterprise Information Technology (IT) services. You will be working in a large and complex IT consolidation, migration and modernization effort towards a Single Server Provider model that provides sustainment, maintenance, Problem and Change management services to help ensure secure, reliable and uninterrupted availability of the Department of Defense networks and services.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate as a team leader, overseeing 5+ people, on a 24 x 7 x 365 operational support team focused on identifying, replying, and resolving alerts / incidents.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational services to the DES program and its customers.
  • Monitoring and supervising the activities involved with the daily support of services to all DES computing assets to include Network Control Center, Problem Management, Video and VOIP, VIP support and the Joint Operations Center.
  • Manage integration of the network system management tools.
  • Manage Network Management Systems monitoring and reporting.
  • Interface between the customer and DISA management and provide input into the management activities.
  • Perform network monitoring technical support and analysis for network systems and components, LAN/WAN communications, and transmission systems, including Wireless LAN infrastructure.
  • Perform critical/emergency systems administration tasks affecting the production environment.
  • Ensure that personnel receive adequate guidance and direction for performing their daily tasks and will be accountable for developing/presenting briefings, preparing correspondence, and preparing project status reports as required.
  • Communicate clearly and succinctly, both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a professional business-like manner.
  • Maintain the availability of environments for projects and follows application deployment/configuration plans.
  • Implement reporting and dashboards based on monitored network services.
  • Utilize reporting tools to generate ad-hoc and daily/weekly/monthly reports.
  • Onboarding / off boarding network and other assets to maintain a current and up to date monitoring infrastructure.
  • Create twice daily status reports and outage reports.
  • Document significant events within the Master Station Log (MSL).
  • Create incident tickets and escalate to the appropriate teams within the approved timeframe for network outages.
  • Track the status of network outages and VIP tickets; including higher level outages.
  • This is on-site support and will have to occasionally work on weekends, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • **Possess a current Secret clearance or above**
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience using SharePoint.
  • Experience with SolarWinds.
  • Experience with technical writing and reporting.
  • Experience creating/running ServiceNow ITSM reports.
  • Must have an active DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE), prior to start.
