Each country, state, and municipality has its own employment requirements that need to be maintained on an ongoing basis. Those requirements span HR, tax, accounting, and legal which is complicated and requires deep expertise. As a result, keeping up with the differences and the sheer volume of obligations makes hiring people in many locations expensive and painful.

Mosey has everything you need to get and keep your business compliant in all 50 states in one, easy to use, platform. Our Compliance Ops team drives mission-critical initiatives to expand and maintain our product coverage. We are looking for a hard-charging analyst who is focused on outcomes, accuracy, and builds strong relationships along the way.

*** This is contract role with a potential conversion to a full time

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough research on federal, state, and local business compliance requirements

  • Distill and document complex legal and regulatory information into clear, actionable guidelines

  • Identify and implement new compliance requirements to ensure comprehensive coverage for businesses

  • Regularly review and update existing compliance information to reflect the latest regulations and standards.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory changes that impact business compliance

  • Develop expertise in areas such as payroll, HR, and more to support diverse compliance needs

  • Partner with operations and customer success teams to address and resolve complex compliance inquiries from clients

  • Use internal tools and processes to configure compliance requirements into systems

  • Test changes and roll out safely to customers

Capabilities

  • Excellent communicator, verbal and written

  • Strong conceptual and critical thinking

  • Acute attention to detail

  • Ability to accurately and concisely summarize complex information

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks, manage time, and remain highly organized

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience working in/with compliance

  • 2+ years experience working in operations or related function

  • Proofreading, drafting, and investigative/research experience

  • Experience working at an early-stage startup or eagerness to learn

  • Strong connection with the mission of the company

  • Paralegal degree/experience is a plus

The compensation range for this position is between $25 and $40 an hour depending on experience.
