Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Clinical Coding Analyst (CCA) to join our remote team! In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing inpatient charts prior to billing, identifying revenue opportunities, and ensuring coding compliance. Key Responsibilities:

Review inpatient charts on a daily basis for assigned clients, providing findings and feedback within 24 hours.
Analyze electronic health records to identify opportunities for revenue growth and areas of potential coding compliance risks, utilizing coding guidelines, clinical knowledge, and industry best practices.
Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation and ensure accurate MS-DRG assignments.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the MS-DRG database.
Prepare and communicate recommendations to clients regarding potential reimbursement adjustments or updates.
Address client inquiries and assist with rebills within 24 hours.
Stay current with coding regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:

Certification in CCS, CDIP, or CCDS is required (AHIMA or ACDIS certified).
At least 7-10 years of experience in inpatient hospital coding or auditing (experience with large tertiary hospitals is preferred).
Strong understanding of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and excellent analytical skills.
Experience with electronic health record systems (Cerner, Meditech, Epic) and remote work capabilities.
Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
