Duties Description This position will be responsible for the upkeep of an assigned area of campus to include college building(s), adjacent yard(s), and sidewalk(s). Duties are expected to include, but not limited to, emptying trash; washing walls and windows; vacuuming, mopping, and waxing floors; and attending to restrooms. Moving furniture and operating various types of cleaning equipment appropriate to completing duties is also expected. Cleaners may be assigned to shovel snow and mow lawns as necessary to upkeep sidewalks, yards, and driveways. Cleaners may also be tasked with equipment setups in assigned areas, cleaning light fixtures, replacing light bulbs, changing curtains and drapes, and hanging pictures or other decorative objects. Using appropriate PPE and selecting and safely using the appropriate tools and equipment needed to complete the assigned tasks as well as attending job related training will be required.
