Job Title: Claims Clinical Documentation Reviewer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote — Candidate must be local to Arizona)
Type: Contract
Schedule: 5–10 hours per week (flexible — any day/time, including weekends)
Pay Rate: $45 – $49/hour
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Claims Clinical Documentation Reviewer for an exciting job in Phoenix, AZ.
ResponsibilitiesConduct re-reviews of behavioral health clinical records under the direction of leadership.
Complete and submit standardized audit tools accurately and on time.
Participate in meetings with internal teams and providers as needed.
Ensure documentation meets compliance, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Principles and strategies of Service Authorization.
Behavioral health service delivery systems, including services for children and individuals designated as SMI.
Behavioral health management, clinical assessment, and individualized treatment planning.
Substance abuse treatment concepts and approaches.
HCPCS Levels I & II, ICD coding, DSM IV/V, and medical billing standards.
Healthcare technology tools such as EHRs and HIE systems.
Medicaid and Medicare regulations, AHCCCS policies, and state statutes.
AHCCCS program structure, provider networks, prior authorization processes, and funding sources.
General understanding of American Indian Tribes, programs, and related policies.
Minimum of 1 year of clinical and programmatic experience in behavioral health service delivery (preferred).
Advanced experience in clinical and/or claims documentation review and analysis is highly desirable.
Active Behavioral Health License (Associate or Independent) in the state of Arizona.
