Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour plus TIPS

Midwood Smokehouse first originated in 2011, bringing award-winning, all-hickory-smoked barbecue to the Charlotte area. Dedicated to doing barbecue right—no pellets, no gas, no power outlets; just hardwood and hard work—Midwood Smokehouse is a staple in the community, known for authentic, mouth-watering barbecue and Southern hospitality.

We are looking to add a busser to our growing team to help with bussin’ and hustlin’ Southern barbecue. If you are looking to advance into becoming a server, this position will teach you the fundamentals of delivering exemplary service to our guests. As a busser, you’ll partner with our hospitality team to deliver memorable dining experiences. The smoked meats can’t serve themselves!

Busser Responsibilities Include:

• Guest Service: Provide great guest service by assisting all servers in meeting the needs of our guests.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Assist servers, hosts, and managers in keeping the whole place spotless.
• Table Maintenance: Ensure tables are cleaned and reset quickly and that tables are clean and dry from top to bottom (because barbecue tastes better on clean surfaces).
• Support Servers: Pre-buss tables to keep them clutter-free and ensure our guests are having an excellent barbecue experience.
• Efficient Operations: Communicate with servers and hosts to assure efficient seating, table utilization, and guest service.
• Proactive Support: Identify tasks that need to be done to support servers because they tip you out at the end of the night.
• Complete Side Work: Finish all side work and any extra duties assigned by your manager.
