Beef Farm Manager (6330)

Farm Manager opening on this 80 head cow/calf operation in Washington County, Pennsylvania. The position requires the care and feeding of cattle herd; overseeing herd health, genetic improvement, vaccinations, rotational grazing, weaning, calving, pregnancy testing, and hay production, fence mending, equipment care and repair, and beef/cattle sales. This job includes record-keeping, accounting, budgeting, planning, and marketing skills.

Qualifications:
Handy self starter with experience handling cattle, ability to identify cow/calf health issues with ability to address promptly, create balanced feed rations, know the importance of proper grass and pasture maintenance, and ability to operate hay equipment. PA drivers license required with ability to drive truck with fifth wheel cattle trailer.

Salary is based on experience. Benefits include performance based bonuses, healthcare, and housing. Housing is a well maintained farm house with 3 bedrooms/1-1/2 baths, and full basement. Only utilities requiring payment are electric and gas. This location is not a remote location. Schools, colleges, various retail stores/restaurants, and entertainment is nearby.
