Are you a mechanically minded automotive professional with strong negotiation, management, and communication skills? We may have a great opportunity for you! Our busy auto parts center is looking for a savvy automotive parts manager to join our growing team of service department employees. You’ll handle everything from interfacing with service technicians to managing our extensive inventory of automotive parts. We’ll rely on you to secure the best prices while stocking inventory and striking a balance between supply and demand. • Effectively balance cost and quality when ordering parts that meet the various needs of departments within the car dealership
• Negotiate and communicate effectively to secure the best prices for automotive parts, ensuring a return on investment when used in sales and vehicle repairs
• Recruit and manage team members within the auto parts department
• Document all warranty-related records
• Assist with promotions, as needed, to increase parts sales
• Source and buy parts for inventory cars
• Track cores
• Track returns

Qualifications:

• Mandatory product knowledge, customer service skills, and organizational skills required to manage inventory properly
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• One or more years of experience working in an automotive sales department required
• Management experience is a plus

About Company: Who is Grote Automotive? Fred Grote has been in the car business for over 25 years. He opened his 1st store in Fort Wayne, IN in 2008. Growing from 25 cars a month to 200 he opened a 2nd store in Warsaw, IN. After Great success there his 3rd store came to Rockford, IL. The 4th and 5th stores have just arrived in IN in 2022 as well. We plan to open 1 more in 2024. We opened here in Rockford in December 2020 and have been growing FAST. We specialize in solving transportation problems that most dealerships can't.
