Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Swim Coach to assist with our Heathrow CVST swim team and manage our aquatic programs with our Head Swim Coach. The ideal candidate will have a passion for swimming, excellent leadership skills, and a strong ability to inspire and develop swimmers of all ages and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and oversee all swim team practices and meets.
• Develop and implement training programs tailored to various skill levels.
• Provide individual coaching and feedback to swimmers to improve performance.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers during practices and meets.
• Recruit, train, and supervise assistant coaches and volunteers.
• Organize and manage swim team events, including meets, team-building activities, and clinics.
• Maintain accurate records of swimmer performance and attendance.
• Communicate regularly with swimmers, parents, and club management regarding team activities, schedules, and progress.
• Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages sportsmanship and personal growth.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a swim coach, preferably at a competitive level.
• Strong knowledge of swim techniques, training methods, and safety protocols.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate swimmers of all ages and skill levels.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications (or willingness to obtain).
