Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position will assist and at times cover for the Production Supervisor to oversee production areas and coordinate the work assigned to production groups.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare/update backlog report & represent production at daily backlog meetings.
• Incoming PCB Quality, Capacitor burn-in testing/data collection 
• Production planning for multiple lines; assigning work folders and approving first/last piece quality inspections.
• Provide training for production workers from approved SOPs
• Facilitating communication (including translation) of instructions to workers in the proper languages.
• Walk production floor continuously while making sure that Teamwork, Safety, Quality and Productivity standards meet or exceed company goals.
• Help Production Supervisor to make sure all required materials are supplied to production lines in timely manner. 
• Working with engineering on special items.
• Obtaining Special Instructions for all lines.
• Responsible for feedback of employee performance for evaluations
• Be a resource to employees as needed. 
• Assume other duties and responsibilities as directed.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a level of knowledge usually associated with a High School diploma with 3-5 years of production experience.
• Experience as a team leader in a manufacturing environment essential.
• Must be proficient in MS Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
• In depth working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems required.
