Ad Consultant, Full-Time
Role Overview
The ad consultant role encompasses print, digital, podcast and video media sales, in
addition to event sales and sponsorships. This is a full-time position, with compensation
received through a base salary and commission on all sales. The main objective of the
ad consultant is to grow advertiser partnerships and Edible Northeast Florida’s
distribution footprint within the Northeast Florida region, including Nassau, Duval, St.
Johns, Flagler, Putnam and Clay counties. Attending food and drink related events on
behalf of the brand and tabling on occasion are additional, and fun, responsibilities of
the role.
General expectations include:
40 hours per week
Access to reliable technology and transportation
Attendance of weekly sales meeting
Weekly sales recap
Organized and timely submission of advertiser agreements and deliverables
Ability to meet ad reservation and artwork deadlines
Assistance in distribution of magazines upon issue release
Attendance of food and drink related events sponsored by Edible NE Florida
Use of reasonable discretion when considering work with other local food media
blogs, influencers, websites, and print or digital media platforms
Sales Benchmarks
Sales goals per each issue will be set based on last year’s numbers and current year
projections.
Sales goals for ad consultants will be assigned on an individual basis.
